Current Plan

This is my Master Plan, as it stands at this moment.  My main focus is going to Oregon to try and find a job, and so it's the area that is most fleshed out.  The italicized areas are my specific tasks, while everything else is goals.  Don't worry if you don't understand everything; this is for me.

Remember that the plan can change at any point.  You don't need to stick with the plan if things change.  This is just an assistant to show what tasks I think need to get done to achieve my larger goal.

*Update* This was my master plan, but things have changed, as they always do.  At some future point, I may revise this page.  Then again, I may not -- the important thing is to know your master plan, whether you write it down or not.

The Paco Master Plan
Overall goal: I will get a job as an international student advisor in Oregon

Education
Goal: Finish my Master's degree by December 2010
  1. Finish Educational Research class
    1. Take test 4

Exploration
Goal:  I will know at least 3 careers that I would be happy doing long-term

Employment
Goal: Find a job by the end of July 2010

Prepare for trip
Goal:  I will have completed all my preparations by Saturday

Networking
Goal: I will talk to 25 friends in the 2 weeks
  1. Finish dividing friends into networks

Cold Calling
Goal: I will contact 50 businesses in person about job openings
  1. Finish exploring businesses on CityOf
  2. Decide what I will say to companies
  3. Contact businesses

Directed Search
Goal: I will contact 10 initial people and set up interviews, then follow any leads
  1. Choose businesses I will contact
  2. Research businesses & find contact people
  3. Finish Networking book & do more research on informational interviewing
  4. Contact chosen people & set up informational interviews
  5. Make a list of questions for each person

Observations
  1.  Narrative Research
